Located halfway between Chester and Liverpool, The Shippons is a pub for all. From our loyal locals to walk-in customers from further afield, we have room for all.
We pride ourselves in offering locally sourced, homecooked food to our customers and offer all your pub classics, plus much more on our unique menu offer. We have a great variety of cask ales, wines, and spirits, which can be enjoyed either inside or out on our courtyard on a warm summer’s day.

Situated between Chester and Liverpool, The Shippons is surrounded by plenty to do and to see. From our doors, you can set off on a circular walk around the outskirts of Irby. This walk takes around 2 hours and makes us the perfect spot for some post walk food! If visiting leisurely areas are more your thing, Cheshire Oaks is a short 20 minute drive away and is a great day out for all the family.
